Are you passionate about creating and maintaining safe, welcoming environments where children can thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to work across our neighbouring school sites starting January 2025 but sooner for the right candidate.

As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that these environments remain safe, secure, and conducive to learning.

As a Caretaker, you will be at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Health and Safety: Conducting regular compliance checks and maintenance to ensure all facilities are safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Handling day-to-day repairs, from fixing minor issues to coordinating with contractors for larger projects.
  • Security: Ensuring that the premises are secure, managing keys, and helping to oversee access to the schools.
  • Environment: Keeping the schools (both internally and externally) clean and tidy, ensuring that all areas are well-presented and welcoming.
  • Driving: There is a contractual requirement for the successful candidate who is a designated ‘essential user’ to have their own vehicle at their disposal throughout the working day, this will be on a daily basis. As such, this post attracts a driving allowance of £453 per annum.

About You:

  • We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and takes pride in their work. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role, with skills in maintenance and an understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Most importantly, you will share our commitment to creating a wonderful learning environment for all our children.

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
